SAFETY MANAGEMENT

Maritime Projects is able to provide expert advice at management level to develop vessel and company safety management systems so that it meets with the Code of Practice for the Safety of Workboats and Pilot Boats Edition 3. This edition of the Workboat Code brought in a mandatory requirement, where previously it was a strong recommendation under Workboat Code Edition 2, that all workboats under the Code should have a Safety Management plan in place – this new Chapter 30 of the Code is based on other commercial requirement and is intended to address a shortfall in operator safety management systems that could have prevented some recent incidents. All workboats and pilot boats, including existing vessels will be required to have a safety management system in place by the vessels phase in date.

Safety Management Systems are also required under the new Fishing Vessel Codes and Maritime Projects have the expertise to assist operators and owners to develop these plans.

We have developed and implemented various maritime safety management systems. Additionally, we have contributed to major incident and accident investigations, both internally and externally.
